2/4/2010

JOHANNESBURG -- February 4, 2010 -- SYSPRO, a leading, worldwide provider of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, announced today an upcoming major new release of SYSPRO ERP software. SYSPRO 6.1 represents a quantum leap forward, "simplifying success" with new architecture and modules, feature sets, workflow and customization capabilities. According to SYSPRO CEO Phil Duff, "SYSPRO 6.1, which contains over a thousand new customer-requested features and functions, continues our success in matching our software development with industry trends and customer needs, including "green orientation." These features provide real-time, at-a-glance visibility of all aspects of the organization enabling strategic and proactive decisions.

SYSPRO 6.1 also elevates Business Process Management to a new level with the introduction of SYSPRO Enterprise Analysis Modeling, Monitoring and Management (SEAM3), which combines SYSPRO Workflow Services, SYSPRO Process Modeling and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). SEAM3 produces a rapid, high ERP ROI by elevating operational efficiencies to new levels through the consideration of a company's unique business process requirements and by automatically aligning and re-energizing them during the ERP implementation phase and by enabling future business process remodelling necessitated by changing market conditions.

In his last major speech as Microsoft CEO, Bill Gates stated, "People are very interested in a simpler way of navigating information..." SYSPRO ERP, astute management enable Honest Tea to half inventory levels

SYSPRO ERP, astute management enable Honest Tea to half inventory levels

COSTA MESA, Calif. -- February 17, 2010 -- SYSPRO USA, the leading provider of visionary, pragmatic ERP software, has today announced that Honest Tea reports it has slashed inventory levels by more than 50% thanks to the combination of astute management aided by real-time inventory data and greater forecasting accuracy from its SYSPRO ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software implementation. According to CFO Jonathan Clark, SYSPRO software lets the company know how much raw materials it has on hand at any point in time as well as enabling it to more precisely forecast production levels. These elements are particularly critical, notes Clark, as Honest Tea outsources all manufacturing to co-manufacturers or co-packers, providing each with the raw materials and recipes to make the teas,

Honest Tea chose SYSPRO software in 2007 after an extensive software search. Clark simply states, "SYSPRO fit our needs. We're going to be a $200 to $250 million company, and we needed software that could handle that volume. SYSPRO does have a great track record, and SYSPRO has room for growth." He adds that SYSPRO reseller Driscoll and Associates, Inc., was also a key factor in the company's choice of SYSPRO. "We gave them a lot of questions, and they always came to us with answers and solutions," he says.

SYSPRO named Private Technology Company of the Year

SYSPRO Wins Second Major Honor in As Many Weeks.
COSTA MESA, Calif. - May 18, 2009 -- SYSPRO, a leading, worldwide provider of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, has been named Private Technology of the Year by TechAmerica. SYSPRO, with US headquarters in Costa Mesa, Calif., won out over private technology companies that included Silicon Systems, D-Link Systems and Enclarity. The award was accepted by SYSPRO USA CEO Brian Stein and SYSPRO USA President Joey Benadretti at a May 14 banquet at the Hilton Orange County. Both Stein and Benadretti are long-time residents of Irvine, Calif.

TechAmerica was formed by the merger of the American Electronics Association (AeA), the Cyber Security Industry Alliance (CSIA), the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) and the Government Electronics & Information Technology Association (GEIA).

Only two weeks prior, SYSPRO was honored as "Software Company of the Year" by the Technology Council of Southern California, beating out Epicor Software Corporation and Guidance Systems.

The TechAmerica award, which is voted on by a panel of prominent judges, including top-notch business and educational leaders, is based on a set of stringent criteria, including:

* Technological breakthroughs
* How the product serves the needs of the market
* Ways in which the company's products and services are unique compared to the competition
* Sales and revenue growth
* Service to the community

SYSPRO USA Joey Benadretti said of this latest honor: "SYSPRO success is a direct reflection of the success of our customers." He cites three examples of how an investment in SYSPRO software is producing outstanding returns:

* Optical Cable Corporation's President and CEO Neil Wilkin states: "Our SYSPRO ERP system has delivered efficiencies by improving production flow and visibility, enabling us to make better business decisions.

The company has improved gross profit by 31.2% and last year Exporter of the Year Award in Information Technology and Telecommunications from Commercial News USA, the official export promotion magazine of the U.S. Department of Commerce."
* Gary Lange, Director of Information Technology at Airborne Systems Group, notes: "Our ability to customize [SYSPRO] screens according to individual user needs has enhanced operational efficiency by more than 25%. Our users now have everything they need, where they expect to find it, without having to wade through additional screens and fields that they may not require. This results in an improved user experience and reduces new employee training time."
*

TriStar Plastics of Massachusetts, an early adopter of SYSPRO's pioneering "green" enterprise resource planning (ERP) approach, reports that by utilizing the SYSPRO Material Yield System alone, the company has saved "hundreds of thousands of dollars" and has eliminated the need to send "thousands of pounds" of plastic remnants to land fills.

Benadretti continues: "Not only does SYSPRO offer a single, integrated enterprise software solution with exceptional core functionality and superlative ease-of-use features, but equally as important, SYSPRO provides unparalleled post sales support." He cites an example of the daily emails received commending SYSPRO on the support provided:

A Benicia, Calif.-based manufacturer writes: "It is very refreshing to see SYSPRO taking such concern in us as a customer. I have never seen a company take such a pro-active interest in their customers. It is truly appreciated."

SYSPRO's more thoughtful approach to adopting new technology, such as web services and SOA platforms, also reflects the desires of its buyers who are driven by business needs and not by the latest headlines. This exemplifies SYSPRO's ongoing strategy of helping to simplify the success of its customers. SYSPRO calls its buyer landscape "PragmaVision,"â„¢ consisting of pragmatic, visionary ERP executives that are driven by a desire for smart, but aggressive market growth.

SYSPRO software key to STM group global integration

SYSPRO software key to STM group global integration

COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SYSPRO, a provider of visionary ERP for the manufacturing pragmatist, today announced that SYSPRO customer, STM Group, is in the process of further expansion of its SYSPRO ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation. STM Group, headquartered in Irvine, Calif., is a leading provider of high-performance, standards-based satellite networks and cellular systems and services for mobile and fixed-line IP-based telephone, data and multimedia applications used by enterprises, governments, telecommunication providers and system integrators.

According to Tony Naff, STM Vice President of Finance, during the fourteen months of SYSPRO ERP software utilization at STM headquarters, the company has been impressed with the software's functionality, user-friendliness and stability. STM wants to further integrate operations for added efficiencies and greater management control in additional affiliated companies located abroad.

STM Group headquarters went "live" with its SYSPRO software implementation in July, 2008 in its companies based in California and United Arab Emerites. The company had been utilizing a UNIX-based software solution; however, due to the antiquated nature of the software and the Group's growing diversity and complexity, the decision was made to seek a new software solution, one with a successful history of global implementations. Says Naff, "We wanted a product we could give to our affiliates in all parts of the world. Our United Arab Emirates unit also investigated the SYSPRO product and found it to their liking, as well."

Naff explains that the thoroughness of the SYSPRO installation documentation, STARS (Structured Technique to Achieve a Rapid Solution), even enabled STM to self-implement the SYSPRO software with minimal SYSPRO support.

As STM global units become operational on SYSPRO, the software will reside on hardware in the US with the global affiliates having access via a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

SYSPRO calls its buyer landscape "PragmaVision,"TM consisting of pragmatic, visionary ERP executives that are driven by a desire for smart, but aggressive market growth.

Inventory Optimization White Paper

Inventory Optimization White Paper

Inventory control is typically a key aspect of almost every manufacturing and/or distribution operation business. The ultimate success of these businesses is often dependent on its ability to provide customers with the right goods, at the right place, at the right time.

Failure to have the right goods in the right place at the right time often leads to lost sales and profi ts and, even worse, to lost customers. Today’s reality is that there is very little differentiation between commodity products of the same type, and customers will, more often than not, choose to return to businesses that meet all three conditions, even choosing relatively unknown brands over known brands.

Inventory Optimization application was designed to provide customers with advantages that can only be derived when optimization functionality is executed as an integral component of an ERP Software system.

The SYSPRO Inventory Optimization solution is consistent with meeting the requirements of the following company objectives:
• Helping customers to increase overall efficiencies
• Utilizing technology for superior decision-making
• Providing visibility across the supply chain
• Enhancing a demand driven model for the company
• Delivering greater profitability to the customer’s bottom line

SYSPRO positioned in ERP Magic Quadrant report

SYSPRO positioned in ERP Magic Quadrant report

SYSPRO Evaluated on Completeness of Vision; Ability to Execute.

JOHANNESBURG - June 10, 2009 - SYSPRO is recognized in Gartner's recently released "Magic Quadrant for Midmarket and Tier-2 Oriented ERP for Product-Centric Companies."1 SYSPRO is positioned in the report as a "challenger."

Gartner's Magic Quadrants graphically display vendors, rating them on two criteria: completeness of vision and ability to execute. Using different qualifiers per criteria for the varying industries, the Magic Quadrant then positions the vendors into one of four quadrants: Leaders;Challengers; Visionaries; Niche Players.

SYSPRO was one of the first companies to develop an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solution. The company has continued to innovate its single product offering, adding unparalleled functionality, ease of use and customization capabilities that enable SMB (small, medium-size business) manufacturers and distributors to successfully compete in their respective industries by "leaning" and "greening" their operations.

Phil Duff, SYSPRO CEO, notes: "The Tier One market leaders are struggling to understand the vast difference in requirements for smaller businesses. We have been in this space for over 30 years, and we know what the market needs and have built these desired functionalities into the SYSPRO product. We will continue to help manufacturing and distribution companies realize their full potential by giving them an extra advantage that they can't get from other software providers, even those serving the largest companies."

"The SYSPRO status as a major software supplier to SMB manufacturers and distributors is confirmed by recent industry awards. Within the past month SYSPRO was named 'Software Company of the Year' by the Technology Council of Southern California and 'Outstanding Private Technology Company' by TechAmerica," notes Brian Stein, CEO, SYSPRO USA.

How to Embrace CRM and Make it Succeed in Your Organization

If you ask technology gurus for a definition of CRM, you will probably get many different answers. Today, CRM systems typically refer to comprehensive software solutions that, in effect, make the customer the epicenter of the business. CRM software systems not only empower companies to manage effective relationships, but they do much more. A CRM software solution enables companies to collect, maintain and manipulate customer-related data by leveraging customer relationships to increase revenue and profitability.

CRM is growing in importance as a valuable competitive tool. However, a successful CRM solution must take many factors into consideration, including a well-defined implementation strategy, the people factor and the need for integration with the incumbent ERP software solution.

In embracing CRM, the following are critical guidelines:

* Employees and suppliers must be incorporated as part of a holistic approach to Relationship Management throughout the Enterprise and Supply Chain
* True 360° visibility starts from within and extends externally across customers, vendors and distribution network

Intermodal Equipment Parts Selects SYSPRO Based on Superior Functionality.

COSTA MESA, Calif. - January 12, 2010 - SYSPRO, the leading provider of visionary, pragmatic ERP software, has today announced a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) contract from Intermodal Equipment Parts, a leading trailer parts distributors headquartered in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

According to Tony Tishler, Intermodal vice president, the firm's desire to gain in-depth insight into operations and better control inventories necessitated the search for an integrated ERP solution. Intermodal stocks thousands of parts for all makes of trailers, maintaining an inventory valued at more than one million dollars.

"We had been using Thoroughbred Software to track financial and operational data; however, it fell short on inventory tracking and would have been very costly to upgrade. This thoroughbred is more of a gelding,"quipped Tishler. Intermodal opted for SYSPRO ERP after an extensive search resulting in the selection of SYSPRO software for its strength and superior functionality over the other competitors in the ERP software mid-market range. "SYSPRO has continuity with an excellent reputation. In addition, we felt local SYSPRO reseller Computer Business Systems could best provide the required support," says Tishler.

The SYSPRO customer focus is embodied in SYSPRO PragmaVision TM -- a visionary, yet proven ERP roadmap for mid-market manufacturers and distributors who demand a unique combination of robust, scalable and current technologies. They desire a proven track record, require strong references, a long-term relationship and seek evolution not revolution.

SYSPRO continues to enhance award-wining reseller program

COSTA MESA, Calif. -- January 22, 2010 -- SYSPRO USA, the leading provider of visionary, pragmatic ERP software, has today again reaffirmed the company's commitment to selling its comprehensive ERP software solution through a VAR channel. As a privately held company, SYSPRO is able to focus on customer and VAR relationships rather than the interest of shareholders.

According to SYSPRO USA President Joey Benadretti, the company continues to enhance its award winning SYSPRO Reseller Program, adding numerous benefits for the channel, including expanded company/VAR communications, a greater number of educational sessions, enhanced marketing support and more resources to obtain qualified leads.

"SYSPRO is one of a handful of vendors that has always been successful and committed to selling its product through a reseller channel. Since its inception in 1978, SYSPRO has been channel driven, relying on resellers for sales and to assist the company in providing outstanding post-sales customer support," says Benadretti. "SYSPRO is unswerving in its goal to continue building a roster of the industry's most outstanding resellers. The SYSPRO Reseller Program far surpasses the norm in the enterprise software market, and we are supplementing our channel with strategic business partners that wish to accelerate success by combining their expertise with that of SYSPRO."

Benadretti points out that SYSPRO is a supplier that recognizes the needs of resellers, noting that SYSPRO's single product offering -- a best-of-breed, fully integrated supply chain solution -- enables SYSPRO resellers to rapidly become proficient in the software and build successful, viable reseller businesses.

Benadretti notes, "Industry consolidation has forced resellers to represent multiple products by default, resulting in insufficient product expertise, conflicts and confusing overlaps. Many software products that vendors have in their arsenal are no longer competitive in today's business environment. When you have a winning channel, the sage advice is to commit to it and support it. SYSPRO has always had an outstanding reseller channel and remains committed to having the finest channel in the industry," he said.

Benadretti lists some of the benefits enjoyed by SYSPRO resellers: Dedicated assistance in business development and sales; Proactive interaction with the SYSPRO Customer Service Department; Direct and easy access to senior management; Top technical support and services; Classroom education with ongoing follow through; Leading edge SYSPRO Learning Channel education including broadcasts and a comprehensive 24/7 library that bring e-learning to the desktop; The SYSPRO Support Zone that ensures up-to-date product information and knowledge; The Sales Zone that provides customer and focused vertical industry information; Regional portals that serve region specific requirements; Marketing assistance for a variety of activities; Regular product updates and newsletters, including a dedicated newsletter for Reseller owners; Knowledge driven conferences with events in the United States and abroad; and, The SYSPRO award-winning STARS Implementation Methodology.

Concludes Benadretti, "The competition from giant software companies seeking to gain a foothold in the smaller and mid-size market where SYSPRO has enjoyed its greatest successes necessitates that we offer the best Reseller Program in the industry and work diligently with our resellers to help each win right out of the block. The success of the SYSPRO Reseller Program is not only due to an abundance of available resources, but also because it is based on the SYSPRO corporate culture and core branding values of Integrity, Innovation, Responsiveness, Uniqueness, Simplicity and World Class Software and Service."

Benadretti summarizes, "SYSPRO offers its resellers all the ingredients for success."

SYSPRO recently released a thought-provoking paper that outlines the company's long-term commitment to and understanding of the needs of its world class ERP Channel. To access "The ERP Resellers' Guide to Selecting the Right ERP Software Vendor," please go to:

BCA Group -- the advanced caravan wiring systems and electrical components manufacturer and supplier -- is investing over £100,000 in a fully integrated, remotely managed manufacturing solution from K3 Business Technology Group (K3).

BCA Group chose the SYSPRO ERP system as part of the organisation's inward investment programme in automation, mechanisation and facilities to enable further efficiencies.

SYSPRO will replace BCA's existing business system, giving the organisation superior levels of control over its manufacturing, accounting and distribution operations. The new system will incorporate all areas of the business and provide instant visibility to important management information.

"We were aware that we could gain a clearer view of our processes with a fully integrated ERP system. We spent a lot of time and effort reviewing the market, eventually selecting a fully managed SYSPRO solution following visits to other K3 customer sites to see the system in action," says Wim Batist, BCA Group owner and MD.

"We expect SYSPRO to make a huge difference to what we do. The MRP function for example, will give us tighter control over Bills of Material, Which is important as we source components from all over the world. The new system will help balance lead times with manufacturing deadlines," he adds.

K3 Managed Services performed a full review of BCA's existing IT architecture and provided a tailored solution to maximise software performance and enhance IT functionality. This specialist division will also manage all IT for the company through its advanced monitoring and maintenance solution -- K3 Sentinel.

Together with the SYSPRO software, K3 will also supply a new cutting edge server and will upgrade our desktop systems. The advantage of contracting K3 Managed Services to manage our infrastructure means we do not have to worry about our IT - we simply use it," says Wim Batist.

Established in 1981, BCA Group manufactures a complete range of caravan electrical and electronic systems. Its customers include Bailey Caravans, Lunar, Coachman, Elddis and Adria. BCA Group is an ISO 9000 organisation and provides 12 volt and 230 volt electrical systems, plastic components and control systems.

SYSPRO reiterates its support and understanding for ERP reseller success

Resellers Can Still Profit Despite Market Dynamics, Vendor Consolidations, Other Upheavals

COSTA MESA, Calif. - January 19, 2010 - SYSPRO USA, the leading provider of visionary, pragmatic ERP software, has today announced the release of a thought-provoking paper, reinforcing the company's long-term commitment to and understanding of the needs of its world class ERP Channel. The paper paints the current ERP landscape, highlights the dilemmas facing today's ERP Resellers and contains a check list to guide resellers in the selection of an ERP Software Vendor.

Titled, "The ERP Resellers' Guide to Selecting the Right ERP Software Vendor," the paper describes the conditions which have made many reseller/vendor relationships tenuous today, including a difficult economy, high-end vendors looking to penetrate the more lucrative mid-market, vendor consolidations, changing vendor product focus and vendor vacillations in their selling strategies.

"Resellers in today's business environment must face a new, fundamental question: 'Whom do they place their bets with?,'" asks the paper, noting, "While many vendors 'talk the talk,' when you look under the hood it's not really there."

The paper cautions, "While in the new decade software resellers have to look at the many tangible attributes of the product they decide to adopt and promote, the real differentiation has to be focused at the softer, less tangible attributes of the software supplier . . . factors that are not necessarily on a balance sheet or in the software manual as functionality . . ." These "less tangible" factors are delineated.

The paper concludes with a vendor checklist resellers can utilize to ensure that the product and software partners they select can support and, in fact, will enhance their business objectives and goals.

SYSPRO joins Microsoft Technology Adoption Program

Invitation to Beta-Test Windows Workflow Foundation Follows Successful Pairing on .NET Development.

JOHANNESBURG-January 13, 2010 - SYSPRO, a leading, worldwide provider of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, today announced that the company has accepted an invitation to join the Microsoft Technology Adoption Program (TAP) and is currently working with Microsoft on the development of the Windows Workflow Foundation, which provides a programming model, in-process workflow engine and re-hostable designer to implement long-running processes as workflows within .NET applications. The TAP is designed to provide a consistent experience for Microsoft partners to obtain real-world customer feedback on Microsoft pre-release products.

According to Phil Duff, SYSPRO CEO, "SYSPRO, a Microsoft Gold Partner and former Microsoft Developer of the Year, has enjoyed a close working relationship with Microsoft, as evidenced by the concurrent development of Microsoft.NET and SYSPRO e.net solutions." When .NET was released in 2000, a Microsoft manager, in fact, referred to SYSPRO as the ".NET Poster Child."

Microsoft selected SYSPRO to be a part of the TAP after seeing the amazing work SYSPRO had done developing the new .NET-based Workflow module embedded within the award winning SYSPRO ERP solution. As a participant in the Microsoft TAP, SYSPRO will provide feedback as well as suggested software enhancements during Microsoft's developmental phases.

SYSPRO Workflow Services is part of SYSPRO 6.1, being introduced in early 20l0. SYSPRO Workflow Services provides users with an easier way to orchestrate or execute the complex processing of data in a visual form, much like flow charts, but without the need to understand computers or programming.

According to Duff, "The Workflow solution for SYSPRO is deeply embedded in the SYSPRO product, meaning the workflow processes can be initiated from anywhere in SYSPRO." The advantages of a .NET-based workflow solution are also numerous, says Duff, including greater flexibility, improved process controls and the easy development of .NET associated programs to augment business processes.

City Theatrical Opts for SYSPRO Over Infor, Epicor, Made to Manage; SYSPRO PragmaVisionTM Approach Key

COSTA MESA, Calif. - January 14, 2010 - SYSPRO, a leading, worldwide provider of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), has today announced that the company has won a new contract with City Theatrical, a Carlstadt, New Jersey-based lighting accessories manufacturer and winner of 30 product and business awards in the last thirteen years. SYSPRO prevailed in a direct compete against Infor, Epicor and Made to Manage, via SYSPRO re-seller Edgeware Computers of Marietta, Ga.

According to Scott Tiede, City Theatrical Manufacturing Manager, the company had contemplated the implementation of integrated ERP software for more than 10 years; however, the decision to seek a solution was precipitated by recent growth. In 2007 City Theatrical expanded to a 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Carlstadt, New Jersey, from a 10,000 sq/ft Bronx, NY facility, and in 2008 the company opened a London, UK sales office. During the same time period, City Theatrical also invested more than $500,000 in capital equipment, including a powder coat line, a SMT (Surface Mount) line for in-house PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly and stamping/punching capabilities.

"Our current systems were just not up to the task of running a streamlined, highly responsive manufacturing organization in the lighting and entertainment industry," said Tiede, noting that departments within City Theatrical had been relying on a variety of software solutions, including QuickBooks; Parts &Vendor; Invoice Store; and ACT. During the search for an integrated ERP solution, City Theatrical looked at Infor Visual, Epicor Vantage and Made to Manage. However, SYSPRO's PragmaVisionTM Approach was key to the company's selection. Explains Tiede: "We selected SYSPRO because of the established history of the SYSPRO product and confidence in the SYSPRO implementation methodology, STARS."

In addition to superior insight into company operations, City Theatrical is looking to SYSPRO to manage both raw materials and finished goods inventories. Tiede notes, "We would like to increase our inventory turns to 10-12 over all. We are currently at about 7.8 for finished goods and maintain a 98% order fill rate."

Derek Jenkins, Edgeware President, recalls, "The selection process by the City Theatrical team was extremely thorough, and the choice of SYSPRO was only finalized after extensive comparisons between the competing products. This once again demonstrates the strengths and superior functionality of SYSPRO over the other competitors in the mid-market range of ERP software."
