Intermodal Equipment Parts Selects SYSPRO Based on Superior Functionality.

COSTA MESA, Calif. - January 12, 2010 - SYSPRO, the leading provider of visionary, pragmatic ERP software, has today announced a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) contract from Intermodal Equipment Parts, a leading trailer parts distributors headquartered in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

According to Tony Tishler, Intermodal vice president, the firm's desire to gain in-depth insight into operations and better control inventories necessitated the search for an integrated ERP solution. Intermodal stocks thousands of parts for all makes of trailers, maintaining an inventory valued at more than one million dollars.

"We had been using Thoroughbred Software to track financial and operational data; however, it fell short on inventory tracking and would have been very costly to upgrade. This thoroughbred is more of a gelding,"quipped Tishler. Intermodal opted for SYSPRO ERP after an extensive search resulting in the selection of SYSPRO software for its strength and superior functionality over the other competitors in the ERP software mid-market range. "SYSPRO has continuity with an excellent reputation. In addition, we felt local SYSPRO reseller Computer Business Systems could best provide the required support," says Tishler.

SYSPRO gets Windows 7 compliant ahead of launch

Johannesburg, South Africa - 09September, 2009 --Johannesburg-based ERP vendor SYSPRO has become the first independent software vendor (ISV) in South Africa to become fully compliant with Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system, which launches locally in October.

Microsoft South Africa's Colin Erasmus says he hopes SYSPRO's achievement of so-called "logo certification" will serve as encouragement for the rest of the local software development eco-system to tailor their software to the next version of Windows. The presence of the logo is designed to flag products that meet Windows 7's compatibility and performance standards.

Erasmus says solutions featuring the Windows logo "stand out from the crowd", offering an instant guarantee of quality and peace of mind for end users.

"The Windows 7 logo program ensures that third-party applications carrying the Windows brand are both easy to install and reliable on PCs running Windows 7. End users and customers value stability, reliability, performance, and quality in the systems they purchase," said Erasmus.

SYSPRO chief executive Phil Duff said the certification was critical in providing a clear upgrade path to its 14 000 customers worldwide. SYSPRO operates in 60 countries across six continents.

"Many of our customers are looking to upgrade to Windows 7, and the compatibility and reliability of our solution is often mission-critical for them," said Duff. "We feel the majority of IT professionals will consider the logo to be an important factor in their purchase decision."

Erasmus says the early indications are that Windows 7 has garnered strong industry support. Forrester Research says the beta of Windows 7 shows "significant promise", and most IT operations professionals are looking forward to its availability and eventual enterprise deployment.

Chocolate Potpourri Product Recall Plan Leverages SYSPRO Software Functionalities .

COSTA MESA, Calif., Sep 10, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- SYSPRO, a provider of visionary ERP for the manufacturing pragmatist, has announced that its software is the foundation of a comprehensive product recall plan in place at Glenview, Ill.-based chocolate maker, Chocolate Potpourri.

Winner of numerous industry awards for its effective utilization of SYSPRO enterprise software, Chocolate Potpourri said it has established a product recall plan that fully leverages the extensive traceability and tracking capabilities inherent in SYSPRO software. Chocolate Potpourri's plan makes full use of these functionalities to trace product ingredients from origin, through the manufacturing process, to their ultimate destination, fully maintaining assurance certification and tracking expiration dates.

Using SYSPRO ERP queries, Chocolate Potpourri's recall team has the ability to locate the supplier of the suspect ingredients, the supplier production lots and the dates received. The team can call up the jobs to which the ingredients were issued, determine which customers had purchased the resulting products and issue a product recall, when required by governmental authorities.

According to Richard Gordon, president of Chocolate Potpourri, "SYSPRO ERP software not only enables us to compete successfully with the largest confectioners in the industry, but also to safeguard our customers and the public in the event of the recall of an ingredient."

Joey Benadretti, president of SYSPRO USA, adds, "SYSPRO has been on the forefront of providing greater visibility and control over quality and tracking in industries like medical devices, pharmaceuticals and food. In fact, SYSPRO software facilitates full compliance with the more stringent food recall standards being proposed by Congress."

SYSPRO's more thoughtful approach to adopting new technology also reflects the desires of its buyers who are driven by business needs and not by the latest headlines. This exemplifies SYSPRO's ongoing strategy of helping to simplify the success of its customers. SYSPRO calls its buyer landscape "PragmaVision,"(TM) consisting of pragmatic, visionary ERP executives that are driven by a desire for smart, but aggressive market growth.
